Dr. Whilby opened the doors of Dr. Big Smilez in 2019 with a simple vision: create a practice where patients feel like family. Since then, we’ve grown into a full-service dental home offering everything from routine cleanings to root canals, orthodontics, and emergency care.

Meet Dr. Patrick Whilby
Dr. Whilby earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Howard University Dental School in 2015, receiving the Periodontic Excellence Award and earning a spot on the Dean’s List. He completed a General Practice Residency at Christiana Care, gaining advanced training in implant restorations, molar endodontics, and CBCT technology. An active member of the ADA and AAE, Dr. Whilby is passionate about giving back through volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club, local first responders, and the “Give Kids A Smile Day” initiative.
